WHAT WE BELIEVE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

THE BIBLE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe that the Holy Bible is the Word of the living God;
true, immutable, steadfast, unchangeable, inspired by the Holy Spirit;
the loving call of an infinitely loving God as well as the solemn warning, of things to come.

It is the sign post that points to Heaven.
The divine, supreme and eternal tribunal by whose standards all men, nations, creeds, and motives shall be tried.

\u201cAll Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
thoroughly equipped for every good work.\u201d <\/strong><\/em>(2 Tim. 3:16,17)

\u201cYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.\u201d (Ps. 119:105)
\u201cHeaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.\u201d (Matthew 24:35)

\u201cForever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven.\u201d (Ps. 119:89)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOD<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We Believe<\/strong> that there is but one true and living God;
Maker of heaven and earth and all that is in them; the Alpha and Omega, who ever was,
and is and shall be, time without end, Amen; that He is infinitely holy, mighty, tender, loving, and glorious;
worthy of all possible love and honor, confidence and obedience, majesty, dominion and might, both now and forever;
and that in the unity of the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) there are three, equal in every divine perfection executing
distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

The Father<\/strong> \u2014 Whose glory is so exceeding bright that mortal man cannot look upon His face
and live, but whose heart was so filled with love and pity for His lost and sin-benighted children
that He freely gave His only begotten Son to redeem and reconcile them unto Himself.
We believe in one eternal God, the Creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness,
love, and justice. God the Father desires a personal relationship with every person and
demonstrates His love through Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CORE BELIEFS<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

God<\/strong> is personal, relational, and sovereign.
He is loving and just, involved in the world and in our lives.
He hears prayer and responds according to His will.
\u201cSee what great love the Father has lavished on us\u2026\u201d<\/em> \u2014 1 John 3:1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JESUS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We Believe<\/strong> Jesus to be co-existent and co-eternal with the Father,
who, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, took upon Himself the form of man,
bore our sins, carried our sorrows, and by the shedding of His precious blood upon the cross of Calvary.
In this, He purchased redemption for all who would believe upon Him:
Then, bursting the bonds of death and hell, rose from the grave and ascended on high, leading captivity captive,
that as the great mediator between God and man, He might stand at the right hand of the
Father making intercession for those for whom He laid down His life.

We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully divine and fully human.

He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins,
was buried, and rose again on the third day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, new life, and reconciliation with God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foundational Truths:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jesus is the only way to salvation. His life exemplifies how we are called to live.
He ascended to heaven and will return in glory.

\u201cFor there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.\u201d <\/em>1 Timothy 2:5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HOLY SPIRIT<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Holy Spirit<\/strong> is the third person of the Godhead. The Spirit of the Father shed abroad, omnipotent, omnipresent,
performing an inexpressibly important mission upon earth convicting: of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Holy Spirit is God active in the world today. He convicts of sin, regenerates
believers, empowers Christian living, equips the church with spiritual gifts, and comforts all who trust in Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the Spirit does:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Draws people to faith in Jesus.
Guides and strengthens believers.
Distributes spiritual gifts for building up the church.
\u201cBut the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 John 14:26<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHURCH<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We Believe<\/strong> that having accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as personal Savior and King, and having
thus been born into the family and invisible body or church of the Lord, it is the sacred duty of
the believer, whenever this lies within his power, to identify himself with, and labor most
earnestly for the upbuilding of God\u2019s kingdom with the visible church of Christ upon the earth.

This is visible church is a congregation of believers who have associated themselves together
in Christian fellowship and in the unity of the Spirit; reading and proclaiming His Word, laboring for the
salvation of souls, giving to carry on His work, edifying, encouraging, and establishing one another in
the most holy faith, and working harmoniously together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation.\u201d <\/em><\/strong>(Ps. 111:1)

\u201cAnd let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another,
and so much the more as you see the Day approaching<\/em><\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hebrews 10:24,25) \u201c\u2026 And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Acts3. 2:47)

\u201cSo the churches were strengthened in the faith and increased in number daily.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>(Acts. 16:5)

\u201cSo we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (Rom. 12:5) (Also, Rom. 12:6-8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SALVATION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We Believe<\/strong> that the salvation of sinners is wholly through grace; that we have no righteousness or goodness of our own wherewith to seek divine favor, and must come, therefore, throwing ourselves upon the unfailing mercy and love of Him who bought us and washed us in His own blood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFor by grace you have been saved<\/em><\/strong>\u2026\u201d (Eph. 2:8)1.
\u201c\u2018There is none righteous, no, not one:\u2019<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (Rom. 3:10)
\u201c\u2026all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d (Rom. 3:23)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BAPTISM<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Baptism<\/strong> is a public declaration of faith and a powerful symbol of what Christ has already done in your life\u2014dying to your old life and rising to new life in Him (Romans 6:3\u20134; Colossians 2:12).

It is also an act of obedience to Jesus Christ, following His command to believers to be baptized (Matthew 28:19).

In accordance with Foursquare Church doctrine, baptism is;
For those who have personally placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour (Acts 2:38; Acts 8:36\u201337)

A step taken after salvation, not as a means of salvation (Ephesians 2:8\u20139; Acts 10:47\u201348)

Normally practiced by full immersion, symbolizing death, burial, and resurrection with Christ (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)

Open to believers who can understand the meaning and significance of baptism (Mark 16:16; Luke 14:27)

Prior to baptism, individuals will receive pastoral guidance and instruction to ensure they understand the biblical meaning of baptism and are prepared to take this important step in their faith journey. (Acts 8:30\u201335).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMMUNION<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Communion<\/strong> is a Christian sacrament in which\u00a0consecrated\u00a0bread and wine (or juice) are consumed as memorials of Christ\u2019s death. These are symbols for the realization of a spiritual union between Christ and the believer.

It is the remembrance of the new covenant we have in Christ.
The Lord\u2019s Supper (Communion) as a sacred ordinance instituted by Jesus.
Communion is a remembrance of Christ\u2019s sacrificial death and a proclamation of His saving work until He returns.
All those professing faith in Christ are invited to participate with reverence and self-examination.
\u201cTherefore go and make disciples\u2026 baptizing them\u2026\u201d <\/em><\/strong>\u2014 Matthew 28:19<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDo this in remembrance of me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> \u2014 Luke 22:19<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HEALING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We Believe<\/strong> that healing is provided for in the atonement of Jesus Christ.
Through His sacrifice, Christ bore our sicknesses, and we trust God\u2019s power to heal
\u2014 spiritually, emotionally, and physically \u2014 according to His will and compassion.
God is compassionate and cares about our wholeness, Spirit, Soul and Body.

Prayer is offered for healing with faith and humility.
Ultimate healing is realized in eternity with God.

\u201cHe himself took our infirmities and bore our diseases.\u201d \u2014 Matthew 8:17
We believe that divine healing is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick and the
afflicted in answer to believing prayer; that He who is the same yesterday, today and forever has
never changed but is still an all-sufficient help in the time of trouble, able to meet the needs of,
and quicken the body into newness of life, as well as the soul and spirit in answer to the faith of
Those who ever pray with submission to His divine and sovereign will.

\u201cFor which is easier, to say, \u2018Your sins are forgiven you,\u2019 or to say, \u2018Arise and walk\u2019\u201d?
<\/em><\/strong>(Matthew. 9:5)

\u201cAnd these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons;
they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it
will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick , and they will recover.\u201d<\/em><\/strong>
(Mark. 16:17,18)

\u201cIs anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over
him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and
the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your
trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong> (James 5:14-16)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SECOND COMING<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to complete His redemptive work.
He will judge the living and the dead, establish His eternal Kingdom, and bring restoration to all things.
What we look forward to:
Christ\u2019s return in glory
Final justice and consummation of God\u2019s plan
Eternal life with God for believers

\u201cFor the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an
archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we
who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.<\/em><\/strong>\u201d
(1 Thess. 4:16,17)
